  8. APPLEIP Minutes
  9.  
  10. The Apple-IP Working Group met on January 9th in conjuction with the San
  11. Francisco MacWorld Exposition.  This is a summary of the decisions that
  12. were made at that meeting.
  13.  
  14. The MacIP and AppleTalk MIB are both approaching standards submission.
  15.  
  16. There was some discusion about the standardization of the AA protocal
  17. but no conclusions were made.
  18.  
  19. The standardization of AppleTalk PPP extensions will be brought up for
  20. discussion at the St.  Louis IETF meeting.  Brad Parker and Frank
  21. Slaughter will work on a proposal on this protocol.

  23. The AppleTalk Tunneling document was discussed for the rest of the
  24. meeting.  The following open topics were left.

  27.    o The authority over the registration of UIDs Apple was proposed.
  28.    o What to do with hop count
  29.    o How to maintain the tunneling gateways routing tables
  30.  
  31.  
  32. The group came to the conclusion that implementation was possible and
  33. developers were encouraged to do so.

  35. The next meeting will be at the St.  Louis IETF meeting with subsequent
  36. meetings at the following possible times:

  40.    o Atlanta IETF August 91 or
  41.    o MacWorld Boston August 91
